Liz Claiborne Inc. has reached an agreement with Baby Togs Inc. to license children's apparel under the Liz Claiborne name. The collection will be launched January. "The addition of this category is a very significant step for the Liz Claiborne lifestyle," comments Barbara J. Friedman, president of licensing for the company. "These new product extensions will enable the company to address the needs of our consumers as parents and outfit a new generation of Liz Clairborne consumers." Baby Togs has been in business for nearly 60 years and is one of the largest infant-clothing manufacturers worldwide.
