MAPICS Targets Metal Manufacturers

Called MAPICS Metal Manufacturing Solution, the system manages the logistics of processing coils and skids by helping companies track attribute and component relationships, integrated chemistry, ratio frequency transactions, purchasing specifications and held-for-inspection reporting. The software is integrated with MAPICS ERP for IBM's iSeries servers. "As a manufacturer of metal products, it is difficult to find an ERP solution that meets my specific information needs," says Remco Blaauw, CFO at Apollo Metals Ltd. "Most systems do not offer sufficient functionality. MAPICS' Metal Manufacturing Solution provides me access to the critical information that I need to conduct business and keep up with the changing demands of e-business."
