Marcam Solutions Inc. has added another arrow to its growing quiver of object-oriented software applications by offering a financial management package as part of its Protean line. The new Protean Financials is tailored to the accounting needs of mid-sized process manufacturing companies in the food and chemical industries.
"This solution is ideal for mid-sized food and chemical companies who prefer to have all of the core components of their ERP solution come from one vendor," says Jonathan Crane, chairman, president, and CEO of the Newton, Mass.-based software firm.
The Protean Financials package includes modules for general ledger and consolidations, budgeting, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, and project accounting. The software is available in French, German, Japanese, and English.
