Compiled ByJill Jusko MG Rover Group Ltd., the British-owned manufacturer of MG and Rover brand automobiles, has selected Enigma Inc.'s XML-based 3C platform as part of a major integrated global parts service operated by Caterpillar Logistics to support MG Rover's worldwide dealer network. The project aims to provide better spare-parts support for MG Rover's maintenance and aftersales services. The Burlington, Mass., provider of content-driven e-business solutions said its 3C platform will provide dealers with electronic access to the complete parts catalogue -- 60,000 parts and more than 7,500 illustrations -- for the current MG Rover range. Availability will be in seven languages. The aftermarket partnership between MG Rover and Caterpillar Logistics was announced in October 2000.
