New Portal Features Factory Automation Equipment

Plant managers, design engineers and others seeking information about and suppliers of factory automation equipment have a new source of help. Verdex has launched FactoryAutomationHQ, its latest industry-specific Web portal. FactoryAutomationHQ, says Verdex, offers a broad, comprehensive view of the factory automation market, including such topics as data acquisition and control, robotics and vision, and motion and positioning. Twelve general categories are further divided into nearly 200 subcategories organized by type of systems, software and other distinctions. Vendors listed on the portal include both U.S. and non-U.S.-based manufacturers. Additionally, the site includes a news service and events calendar. Verdex is a division of New York-based Thomas Publishing Co., which provides industrial product and service information via print and electronic media.
