Compiled ByJill Jusko Executives interested in in-depth training on lean manufacturing techniques may want to consider a new program being offered jointly by training and consulting firm Productivity Inc. and the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. The four-week program will be held during four non-consecutive weeks in March, April, May and June, and is designed for middle and top-level executives who want to implement the principles of lean manufacturing. It will train participants in the four key phases of lean: plan, pilot, deploy and integrate. Between training weeks, participants will apply the principles learned to their own companies. A participant who successfully completes the four-week training, pass a two-hour certification exam and demonstrate successful lean implementation in their facility will be certified as a lean manager. The participant also will earn 16 continuing education units. The program will be held at the Fisher College of Business in Columbus, Ohio. For additional information, contact Lindsey Raymond of Productivity Inc. at 203/881-9746 or visit the Productivity Inc. Web site.
