Compiled By Jill Jusko Executives interested in in-depth training on lean manufacturing techniques may want to consider a new program being offered jointly by training and consulting firm Productivity Inc. and the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. The four-week program will be held during four non-consecutive weeks in March, April, May and June, and is designed for middle and top-level executives who want to implement the principles of lean manufacturing. It will train participants in the four key phases of lean: plan, pilot, deploy and integrate. Between training weeks, participants will apply the principles learned to their own companies. A participant who successfully completes the four-week training, pass a two-hour certification exam and demonstrate successful lean implementation in their facility will be certified as a lean manager. The participant also will earn 16 continuing education units. The program will be held at the Fisher College of Business in Columbus, Ohio.
