Compiled ByDeborah Austin Johnson Matthey's Catalytic Systems Division -- an emission control firm -- is preparing rollout of an online ordering service for its samples business to better serve automotive industry customers. Catalyst samples are an important part of the division's work with major automotive players when developing custom new-vehicle emission control components. "We recognized a need in the industry to reduce the turnaround time from sample order to delivery to the automotive manufacturer," says David Cetola, vice president, Catalytic Systems Division North America. The new online service will give automotive engineers 24-hour ordering, tracking, and reporting capability, to customize the product without affecting delivery. Parent company Johnson Matthey -- a $6 billion diversified global technology firm -- is headquartered in London, as is the Catalytic Systems Division.
