Open Harbor, a provider of global trade management solutions, will add global trade content for 10 new countries to its Web-based offering. The San Carlos, Calif.-based firm has completed eight of the 10 countries: Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Slovakia and Slovenia. It is launching content for Romania and Russia. These 10 additions will bring Open Harbor's repository of global content to 64 countries. "Companies trading with the new [European Union] member states now need to use the EU Common Customs tariff, duty rates and trade rules," says Nancy Boughton, Open Harbor vice president of global trade and compliance. "Using the Open Harbor system, companies can access the new duty rates and other trade content to determine the impact to their operations and evaluate the benefits of alternative supply chains or trading route."
