Optum Acquires WorldChain

Supply-chain solutions provider Optum Inc. once again is on the grow. The White Plains, N.Y.-based firm announced that it has acquired WorldChain Inc., a supply-chain-execution solutions firm located in Fremont, Calif. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. However, the acquisition comes close on the heels of Optum's February purchase of V3 Systems. With the acquisition, Optum adds hosted solutions for supply-chain network coordination and fulfillment to its stable of products. StorageTek, Verifone and others have employed WorldChain's solutions.
