Compiled ByFrank R. Chloupek Recruitmax, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based provider of recruiting solutions, has induced Resource Planning, a Web-based tool for project management. Resource Planning keeps a database containing employee information, including skills, competency, availability and location. When a new project is proposed, the product will generate a project profile based upon the job parameters. It then uses its database of employee skills and current projects to locate and assign appropriate employees to the new project. As a project proceeds, managers can track employee time sheets to check that resources are being appropriately used and that costs are within the project budget. At the conclusion of the project, the employee database is automatically updated with employee skills gained as a result of their project work.
