Compiled ByDeborah Austin Schick Wilkinson Sword Inc. (SWS) has announced it will use Commerx Inc.'s eBuy -- an e-procurement solution in a hosted environment -- to manage and track its enterprise-wide e-procurement processes. SWS will use eBuy for purchase of direct, indirect, and MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) materials and supplies. Commerx will integrate the eBuy solution with SWS' business processes, so procurement information can be shared across the organization. SWS, a maker of shaving products, is part of the Warner-Lambert Consumer Group whose 1999 revenue totaled $5.5 billion. In June 2000 Warner-Lambert merged with pharmaceuticals company Pfizer Inc., headquartered in New York. The combined firms' estimated revenue is $28 billion. Westchester, Ill.-headquartered Commerx is a provider and operator of eBusiness networks for manufacturing companies and their trading partners.
