"Electric Industrial Vehicles Make Cents," a seminar and exposition highlighting the environmental and economical benefits of industrial electric vehicles, will be held May 19 at the Georgia International Convention Center. Sponsored by Southern Co. and the Lead Industries Assn., the event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Company owners and materials managers worldwide increasingly are turning to electric forklifts to improve productivity and bottom-line performance. Great Britain has taken the lead in this area and already has converted about 90% of its forklifts to electric.
The seminar will emphasize the significant cost savings and environmental benefits of these vehicles, as well as highlight case studies of companies that have switched to electric power.
