Two pioneers are joining forces to offer a Web-based customer relationship management (CRM) service for as little as $70 per user per month. Siebel CRM OnDemand is easy to use and configure, according to Siebel Systems Inc., San Mateo, Calif., and enables customer to start a small CRM project with "practically zero start-up time." The project can change and grow over time as needs change, according to Siebel, the company often credited with inventing CRM. The service allows companies to manage contacts, sales leads, products, prices, competitors, events, marketing campaigns and customer service requests. IBM Corp., Armonk, N.Y., will supply the Web-hosted infrastructure and service for Siebel CRM OnDemand and participate in marketing and sales. In announcing the partnership and new service, the companies stressed that Siebel has entered the "on demand" era, delivering quick, easily accessible and usable solutions to customers of all sizes.
