Compiled ByDave Schafer Foresight Software Inc. announced the pending release of FrameWORX, a fully graphical, highly extended enterprise solution targeted at midsized organizations that manufacture, distribute, or support discrete or process-oriented products. "The introduction of this next-generation ERP solution provides customers with a holistic view of the enterprise and allows the sharing and aligning of processes among vendors, partners, and distributors," says Rod Austin, president and CEO, Foresight, a provider of client/server enterprise-resource planning and customer-relationship management software. FrameWORX's suites of products include manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and financial modules. Foresight, Atlanta, says the full graphics provides an easy-to-use interface and the advanced-planning system aligns material and product requirement against availability by concurrently balancing both inventory and capacity according to the theory of constraints philosophy. FrameWORX's manufacturing system, which will be available third-quarter 2001, offers solutions across the business spectrum from "Make to Stock" to "Engineer to Order" for both process and discrete environments. FrameWORX includes:
  • Materials Requirement Planning
  • Master Production Schedule
  • Product Development
  • Production Costing
  • Maintenance Planning
  • Maintenance Management
