Stopol Launches Online Auction Site For Plastics Equipment

Stopol Inc. called its first online auction at www.stopolauctions.com "the tip of the iceberg." The Solon, Ohio-based company held the event Dec. 8-9 and recorded some 500 registrants. Up for grabs were new and used plastics processing equipment and accessories. The online marketplace launched Nov. 23. "As more word gets out about the site, the momentum will continue building, and an even greater number will recognize the benefits of buying online," predicts Stopol CEO Neil Kruschke Jr. Stopol will host its second online auction early in 2005, an event that will feature one company conducting auctions at four different venues. Stopol will manage the live auctions and broadcast them via an auction Web cast, the company said in a press release. Stopol is a privately held corporation that specializes in arranging the acquisition and sale of production equipment, businesses, product lines and manufacturing licenses in the plastics industry.
