Compiled ByJill Jusko The European division of Tenneco Automotive Inc. will implement the Web-based Business Engine Network (BEN) for project management and resources planning across a number of brands, including Walker, Gillet, and Monroe. Tenneco Automotive IT professionals across 11 European countries will use the BEN to collaborate on approximately 400 European IT projects and as a decision simulation tool for "what if" scenario planning. "Previously, we had no single place to consolidate our resources' activities; prioritizing projects was nearly impossible," says Francesco Spadavecchia, IT director for Tenneco Automotive Europe. "With one centralized place to view all of our ongoing projects, we can measure them against one another." Tenneco Automotive, based in Lake Forest, Ill., produces ride-control and exhaust systems. Business Engine is headquartered in San Francisco.
