UPS Supply Chain Solutions is making it easier for companies to get rid of old and obsolete electronics. Through its recently introduced Asset Recovery and Recycling Management service, Atlanta-based UPS Supply Chain Solutions disposes of electronics goods and components via repair, recycling or other environmentally friendly methods, the company announced. The service is for computers, cell phones, printers and other electronics and electronic components. "Many companies are struggling with how to properly handle used and obsolete electronic goods and their components," says Rocky Romanella, vice president and American region general manager for UPS Supply Chain Solutions. UPS Supply Chain Solutions says its distribution centers will serve as stations to accept used and damaged electronics. Alternatively, the company says it also can manage the pick-up and shipment of old goods from a business' own distribution center.
