Harris Corp.'s newest visualization software, InReality Analyst Edition, enhances the value of 3-D models by expanding their use across a variety of applications, says the New Orleans-based provider of image-processing solutions. According to the company, the software enables photo-realistic interaction within 3-D scenes. Users can move through a geospatially accurate virtual environment scanning for security vulnerabilities and solve situational awareness challenges in urban areas, seaports, airports, military bases and utilities. Features include the display and query of GIS (geographic information systems) shape files; calculating line-of-sight threat volumes and 3-D alert zones; generating text and icon annotations; simulating use of night-vision goggles; GPS (global positioning system) location and live tracking; and displaying third-party 3-D predictive analysis models.
