Earlier this week, Newsweek magazine released its Green Rankings. It's a new program.

And it's with great pride that I say that the top 5 are all manufacturing companies:
1.HP
2.Dell
3.Johnson & Johnson
4.Intel
5.IBM

HP was cited for its programs to reduce GHG emissions.
Dell's headquarters uses 100% renewable energy.
J& J has the largest fleet of hybrid vehicles in the world.
Intel is the largest corporate purchaser of renewable energy in the US, equivalent to 46% of company's U.S. energy use.
IBM is the only company to receive EPA's Climate Protection Award twice.

Many other manufacturers are on this list.

To compile this the magazine spent a year working with environmental researchers KLD Research & Analytics, Trucost, and CorporateRegister.com to rank the 500 largest U.S. companies based on their actual environmental performance, policies and reputation.
