Thanks to Dean Barber's recent article on the perception gap in U.S. manufacturing, there's a certain country-western song that I can't seem to get out of my head.

I'm not complaining, though. I love all those old-school country singers -- Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, the Statler Brothers, et al -- and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
