A business acquaintance posited this question to me:

"What would you say if you were in a room with the President, Speaker of the House, and Senate Majority Leader?"

What a great question! I answered with three points:

Stop the ideological battles, meet in the middle, and get something done.
Reduce the size of government starting now.
Get the heavy hand of government off of business since that would create jobs.

His answers were more specific:

Lower the corporate tax rate for businesses.
Enact a tax amnesty program for corporations that repatriate funds into the US and reinvest the funds into new jobs, training, or equipment purchases.

The tax amnesty program has the potential for providing $492 billion in job creation or other selected areas. This would surely provide the economy with a solid shot in the arm.
