The head of new global steel giant Arcelor Mittal will be Roland Junck, a current Arcelor director, who was named chief executive by the company on Aug. 3. Junck, who is the third-in-command at Arcelor, will lead an Arcelor Mittal board of six directors composed of three from Mittal Steel and three from Arcelor.

Aditya Mittal, the son of CEO Lakshmi Mittal, will be the financial director of the new group, the statement said.

Arcelor Mittal was formed by a 25-billion-euro (US $32 billion) takeover by Mittal Steel of Arcelor which created the biggest steel group in the world with about 10% of the global market.
