British Manufacturing Output Drops in November

On annual basis it was the steepest decline in 27 years.

British manufacturing output sank by the fastest pace in 27 years during November, official data showed on Jan. 9. Output tumbled by 2.9% in November from October.

On an annual basis output was down 7.4% , the biggest annual drop since 1981, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.

The ONS said that a wider measure of industrial production, which includes mining, quarrying and energy, plunged 2.3% in November from October and was down 6.9% year-on-year.
