Industrial output from China's millions of factories and workshops rose 13.2% year-on-year in the first 10 months of 2011, the official Xinhua news agency said on Nov. 9
The figure is slower than the 14.2% growth recorded in the first nine months of the year and is likely to fuel concerns that the downturn in the United States and eurozone is hurting China's manufacturing sector.
Britain's manufacturing output rose 0.2% in September compared with August.
Production climbed 2% in September compared with 12 months earlier, the Office for National Statistics said.
Industrial production, which includes mining and quarrying, as well as the electricity, gas and water supply sectors, was flat in September compared with August but dropped 0.7% on an annual basis, the ONS added.
