Italian Industrial Output Up Slightly in June

Up 0.1% compared to May decline of 1.4%

Italian industrial output firmed slightly in June, by 0.1% from the May level which had shown a fall of 1.4%, official data showed on August 7.

The data from the national statistics office Istat showed that over 12 months output fell by 4.4%, but after seasonal adjustment this was reduced to 1.8%.

In the first six months of the year, output fell by 1.5% from the equivalent figure last year, on the basis of raw data. After adjustment, the fall was 1.2%.
