Luxury carmaker Jaguar Land Rover, owned by India's Tata Motors, announced on Nov. 10 plans to create more than 1,000 jobs at a plant in central England, in a boost for Britain's struggling economy.
"The company has announced plans to recruit more than 1,000 members of staff at its advanced manufacturing plant in Solihull," JLR said.
"These posts are being created in support of the business's stated ambition to deliver 40 significant product actions over the next five years thanks to a multi-billion-pound investment in product creation."
Tata has enjoyed huge success with the Jaguar and Land Rover brands since acquiring them for $2.3 billion from Ford in 2008.
