To address both front- and back-office IT tasks, Network Automation Inc. has released its newest version of AutoMate.

According to the Los Angeles-based provider of automation software, the solution enables IT professionals to automate complex IT tasks without writing a single line of code.

Additionally, the company adds that AutoMate 6's security improvements aid in compliance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and Sarbanes-Oxley with support for native SFTP and HTTPS, allowing IT professionals to move data without compromising its content.

AutoMate 6 has also added several new manageability and functionality improvements. For example, the new Event Database allows users to quickly locate, sort and filter task success/fail information.

AutoMate 6 includes over 160 available actions and triggers that can be assembled into an automated solution. Available actions include launching and closing of applications, Web sites, FTP and e-mail sessions, sending keystrokes to multiple windows interactively, focusing windows, FTP transfers, reading and writing to files, or sending e-mail.

AutoMate 6 will be available in two different versions: Professional and Enterprise. The Enterprise version of AutoMate 6 includes the additional functionality of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and native terminal emulation support, as well as more flexible deployment options.
