Looking to improve forecasting, reduction of stock outs and safety stocks and strategic inventory management, Infor announced a new product, Infor Essentials for Demand Planning, on Oct. 17.
Aimed at giving distributors better supply chain visibility, the new product is fully integrated with Infor's Distribution Essentials ERP solutions package.
Distributors will be able to provide better customer relations by adjusting stocking policies based on market intelligence, promotions or information such as competitor activity. In the area of vendor relations, Infor Essentials for Demand Planning can manage long or highly variable lead times and use improved demand planning to increase leverage in vendor negotiations
