For shippers who need delivery within five-days but are flexible within that time period, BAX Global's, new Economy service offers a discount in pricing.
"We've been running a very successful beta test program from the West Coast since February," explains Stephanie McMahon, manager, product development, BAX Global, an Irvine, Ca.-based supply chain management company. With this service there are no size or weight limits and pickup occurs the same day as requested. Importers can use this service with either air or ocean shipment distribution through the U.S. It is not designed, however for less than truckload.
