Last week, Sun Microsystems Inc., offered its new 'Sun RFID Industry Solution' as a way for companies to manage the life cycle of their physical assets. In an effort to decrease shrinkage and lower maintenance costs, RFID is being employed to better track and analyze asset deployment.
The RFID asset tracking solutions provides RFID-enabled features such as an audit trail of movement and maintenance records. It will actively monitor the movements and utilization of assets against activity plans or key performance indicators.
