Michelin Signs 3-Year Service Contract With Logica

Agreement covers applications services for finance, purchasing, supply chain management, marketing and sales.

Tire manufacturer Michelin has awarded a three-year contract with European IT and business services company Logica. Announced today, the agreement names Logica as Michelins applications services partner for its finance and purchase reporting group, supply chain management, marketing and sales (customer relationship management) and demand to cash domains across Europe and North America.

The contract, which has an option of being renewed for an additional three years, also includes consulting services and systems implementation. The arangement will draw on Logicas blended delivery model which allocates the optimal IT resources from across Logicas service centres in the world.

According to Logica.'s CEO Andy Green, Michelin having chosen Logica to be its strategic partner for applications management is one of the most significant contract awards in Europe this year.

"This is a transformational win for Logica, clearly demonstrating our ability to combine our close European customer relationships with consistent and competitive global delivery to deliver real business value for our customers, Green added.
