The expansion boasts a variety of new features, including a dashboard infrastructure with real-time drilling capabilities and a spend enrichment manager that allows users to process information from multiple data sources.

The Sourcing Desktop Intelligence component provides powerful statistical bid analysis, while contract compliance and performance visibility is addressed through a new feature that allows supplier performance to be directly accessible from within each contract. aPriori v6, a product cost management software platform, introduces new capabilities that provide real-time, predictive and precise product cost assessments. aPriori v6 helps manufacturers reduce product costs and direct material spend by identifying quantifiable savings in material, tooling, labor and overhead while evaluating alternative designs, processes and sources. Users are able to cost parts and products manufactured through a new "Bar & Tube" process group module, which adds automated costing capabilities for bar, tube, angle and channel stock using various processes. Ariba has introduced Supplier Network 46, the latest version of its Web-based business commerce and collaboration platform. The software features new capabilities designed to fuel greater collaboration among buyers and suppliers globally, including a supplier discovery service, transaction dashboard and invoice quick enablement. Invoice quick enablement features allow buyers to quickly on-board suppliers who invoice them, but don't typically receive a purchase order by automatically enabling them as soon as they are ready to generate an invoice. New dashboard activities provide order lifecycle management, featuring a single interface that allows users to create invoices, search for new orders, find changed orders, handle rejected invoices and correct invoice errors. www.ariba.com
