Charles E. Bunch, chairman and CEO of Pittsburgh-based PPG Industries Inc. will become chairman of the Washington, D.C.-based National Association of Manufacturers on Jan. 1, 2007, replacing John Luke., the chairman and CEO of MeadWestvaco Corp. Bunch has been vice chairman of the NAM during Lukes two-year term. Bunch also will serve for two years, from Jan. 1, 2007 through Dec. 31, 2008.

During his term, Bunch is expected to focus on reducing the costs of manufacturing in the U.S., with particular attention to reducing energy prices, taxes and litigation.
