The new cuts, announced as HP revealed a slump in revenues, come on top of 34,000 reductions planned under a program begun in 2012.
Net profit in Q2 rose to $1.3 billion from $1.1 billion in the same period a year ago.
Revenue slipped 1%.
The offer is 15% higher than Pfizer's last bid.
Last bid was made May 2.
Pfizer said it would not attempt a hostile takeover.
The telecom giants settle on a sum 'slightly higher' than the original $7.52 billion quote, but leave Indian and Korean factories out of the deal.
