Boeing Wins Billion Dollar NASA Extension

Sept. 15, 2010
The total contract value through the end of fiscal year 2015 is $16.2 billion.

Boeing was awarded a $1.2 billion contract extension with NASA to support the International Space Station, both parties said on Sept. 15.

"The extension brings the total contract value through the end of fiscal year 2015 to $16.2 billion, in hardware and software.

"Boeing's knowledge of the International Space Station allows us to safely fly and operate the station to 2015, set the stage to enable ISS operations until 2020, and potentially extend operations through 2028," said Joy Bryant, Boeing's vice president.
