The Pharma Innovation Awards, now in their 11th year, celebrate the new technologies and services that help advance product quality, risk reduction and manufacturing efficiency. Winners were selected in six categories, including data management and visibility; process development and scale-up; plant operations; packaging and inspection; cold chain logistics; and and cell and gene therapy.
In the plant operations category, for example, the winner got the nod for its contribution to how manufacturers manage critical water systems—specifically helping to mitigate risks by continuously monitoring vital water systems data and triggering alerts to engineering when anomalies are detected. The winner in the data management and visibility category earned its award for global supply chain impact. The end-to-end supply chain digitization solution allows for real-time information-sharing among partners without forcing any partners to change their enterprise business system.
