Silvon Adds KPI Measurements To Performance-Management Application

Compiled ByDave Schafer Silvon Software Inc. has included more than 65 additional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) into its newly released Stratum Version 2.0 suite of business performance-management applications. The Westmont, Ill.-based company says the added KPIs cover the processes of plan, source, make, and deliver as defined by the Supply Chain Council's Supply Chain Operations Reference-model (SCOR). According to Silvon, Westmont, Ill., the KPI measurements in Stratum are designed to enable users to measure business efficiency; provide a context for enterprise goals; monitor and improve operational performance; link manufacturing, product lifecycle, and supply-chain processes; integrate business goals with industry-specific indicators; and incorporate historic and predictive modeling. Using Stratum, executives and managers can monitor KPIs and "push" unacceptable performance to the appropriate KPI owners, view and trend how KPIs have changed over time, and gain comparisons of KPIs across business levels through the use of scorecards, Silvon says. "Silvon has found extreme value in the SCOR model because it can be used by organizations to build integrated supply chains through its common supply-chain framework, standard terminology, common metrics, and best practices," says Michael J.
