Compiled ByDeborah Austin To help companies transform information gleaned from data mining and warehousing into rubber-meets-the-road insights for decision-making and customer relationship management (CRM), analytical-software maker SPSS Inc. has launched its SPSS Enabling Technologies Division. In addition to DiscoverIt -- its analytical and predictive intelligence suite -- the division offers DiscoverIt for CRM and DiscoverIt for Web Mining. These are self-contained analytical applications for CRM, enabling companies to figure out what customers want and predict what they will do. The Miami-based Enabling Technologies Division provides its technologies to strategic partners to be embedded into third-party applications; it also works with partners to build custom end-to-end solutions. SPSS Inc. is based in Chicago.
