Compiled ByJill Jusko Turbulent economic conditions haven't stopped industrial purchasers from buying what they need, but those buyers are moving ahead with great caution, suggests the December Industrial Purchasing Barometer Survey. In a recent online survey that asked buyers to identify their buying attitude in the current environment, 66% reported they were "cautiously proceeding," buying only what was absolutely necessary; 20% said their buying actions were "back to business as usual"; 6% said they were holding off on purchases; 3% said they were "not letting anything get in my way"; and 5% answered "other." Survey respondents were from among the users of ThomasRegister.com, an online site that provides sourcing information for more than 75,000 industrial products and services, as well as additional features.
