CAPS Logistics Delivers New Supply-Chain Analysis Solution

Among its capabilities, Innovation -- which leverages the company's Supply Chain Designer technology -- allows users to calculate "what if" scenarios and their impact on raw material selection, inventory management and production planning. Innovation provides supply-chain solutions for large manufacturers and retailers in the consumer products, food-and-beverage, transportation, electronics and chemical marketplaces. According to CAPS Logistics, the new offering tackles a wide range of supply-chain business issues. It also helps companies predict how mergers, acquisitions, or downsizing will impact various elements of business -- warehouse space needs or production capacity, for example. Atlanta-based CAPS Logistics is a unit of the Invensys Software Systems division of Invensys PLC, London.
