The National Assn. of Manufacturers (NAM) is sponsoring a two-day workshop designed to help companies build a product-liability avoidance program. The workshop will be held in Providence Apr. 22-23 at the Providence Biltmore Hotel in conjunction with Perkins Coie LLP, a law firm that defends manufacturers in product-liability lawsuits. NAM says the workshop is intended for senior managers and employees who make decisions that could get their companies involved in product-liability trouble. In addition to company decision makers, those who might benefit from the workshop are employees who draft instructions and warnings, and employees who decide how to respond to product problems. This workshop is also intended for risk managers, in-house counsel, and accident investigators. For more information call Jim Carty at 202-637-3194.
