Japan's influential Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) plans to develop a computer system to record and analyze the techniques of highly skilled workers in action. Computers will be programmed to analyze minute movements of their eyes, limbs, and muscles. MITI says it will analyze the data, process it digitally and graphically, and use it for teaching trainees. The ultimate goal seems to be the development of more efficient training programs and safer products.
