How important is the knowledge worker to business? It is the critical element of todays workforce, AlliedSignal chairman Lawrence Bossidy told a human resources managers conference recently. "It is not just a question of getting the strategies in place. It is a question of getting the minds in place. We must be individually committed and collectively challenged to succeed in a knowledge economy. You have to start with the premise that the goal is to get the minds in place."
