The University of Tennessee's Center for Executive Education presents "Logistics & Operations in the Supply Chain" Aug. 9-11 in Knoxville, Tenn. The course may be taken on a stand-alone basis or as part of the Integrated Supply Chain Management Certification Program. This course is aimed at executives and managers who are experienced in traditional business functions such as finance, marketing and engineering, but who want to better understand how these functions work together both within a company and across companies that comprise the supply chain. Among the issues this course will address are:
- optimal design of the logistics network;
- strategic supplier network development; and
- cost-effective distribution strategies.
