Companies are continuing to discover the cost-effectiveness of using the Internet for recruiting. A system from Restrac Inc. allows posting of new jobs via the company intranet to a corporate Web site, and automates much of the manual processing of job applications.
Restrac Hire for Intranet from Restrac Inc., Lexington, Mass., also has an online resume-building tool that lets respondents submit data in the company's desired format.
Recruiters within the company also can create their own candidate searches on the Internet, with results relevance-ranked to specific desired qualities. The system generates easily customized, preformatted reports on EEO compliance, time-to-fill, and requisition aging. Users who have used these recruiting solutions typically find that their cost-per-hire and time-to-fill times are reduced by up to 50%. In addition, resume processing time is cut by up to 85%, according to Restrac.
