Air Products and Chemicals Inc., a provider of industrial gases and related services based in Allentown, Pa., announced it will provide PECO Energy Co.'s facilities' industrial gas and equipment requirements, which include bulk and cylinder gases, specialty gases, calibration standards, EPA protocol gases, and gas-handling equipment. Air Products has guaranteed PECO at least a 10% reduction in its direct and indirect costs. "Our continued focus is on the reduction of PECO Energy's expenses so that they can continue to pass on savings to their customers," says Sharon Haines, Air Products' account manager to PECO Energy. Air Products is currently supplying 89 delivery locations under the agreement, including nuclear, fossil, and hydroelectric generating stations; substations; a natural gas supply facility, and service buildings in the Pennsylvania region.
