The nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions, San Francisco, is offering companies advice on how to buy renewable-based, green electricity. The organization has produced a brochure that offers a five-step plan for companies that want to purchase green power. "Take Your Company Green: A Guide to Cleaner Electricity," includes the public relations, environmental, and health benefits of buying green power. The brochure also lists contacts for Green-e certified providers. Green-e is a program of the Center for Resource Solutions. Companies such as Lockheed Martin, Toyota Motor Sales, and Patagonia are switching to renewable energy. Companies that purchase electricity from a Green-e certified electricity provider can display the Green-e seal in advertising, retail outlets, labels, and other marketing materials.
