A new Web-compliance solution from Pleasanton, Calif.-based Documentum Inc., a division of EMC Corp., enables companies in regulated environments to manage Web-compliance requirements by incorporating Web content and records-management components of the Documentum ECM (enterprise content management) platform and online brand- and risk-management software from Watchfire Corp., a Documentum partner. The solution can help companies create, analyze, manage, deliver and archive Web content in a compliant, automated and auditable environment, according to Documentum. Components of the solution include:
- Documentum Web Content Management: manages lifecycles of Web content; creates controls for approvals; stages/releases content and manages links; populates a common repository for compliant content feeds; accesses complete audit trails for reporting, and manages online and offline forms for consistency.
- Records Management: enables organizations to capture and archive Web content as records; manages content retention periods and storage costs so information can be automatically routed to the most cost-effective storage solution.
- Analysis and Reporting: The solution includes an executive dashboard to track critical online metrics, correlating visitor-behavior data with user experience, content quality, privacy, accessibility and compliance issues.
