Epicor Suite For Mid-Market Adds SQL Support

Irvine, Calif.-based Epicor Software Corp., maker of integrated enterprise and e-business software for mid-market manufacturers, has improved its Vantage manufacturing suite with Epicor eManufacturing. The version supports both Progress and Microsoft SQL Server databases and includes enhanced features for international business such as support for European taxes and multi-currency price lists. The company says many mid-market companies continue to use the Progress database, but more are standardizing on SQL Server. The company, which has more than 30,000 customers worldwide, also has released a simplified Chinese version of Epicor eManufacturing. The company expanded into Asia and Australia/New Zealand earlier this year and continues to sell in Europe as well as the United States.
