ByTravis Hessman The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) has released its long-labored national skill standards for public review. The standards are available to view on the MSSC Web site. Businesses and individuals can preview the standards and provide feedback via an online survey. This public review will make the skill standards available for a 60-day critique period that ends Mar. 27. The final draft is slated for release May 10-11 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington D.C. The public review of the standards is an effort to strengthen its validity in the manufacturing environment. The online survey will give participants the opportunity to evaluate the standards. The feedback will be evaluated by theMSSC and applied to the skill standards' final draft. Through the final document, the MSSC hopes to create a new work environment with more qualified, skilled workers.
